This post is intended to simply post some articles written by other great organizations on the topic of why we should support local. Very soon, we'll have our points on the matter and will also include bulleted points to be seen around the www.metroseen.com site.

Bold As Love In Boulder: A Valentine's Day Guide

Boulder may not make it to the top of the list of most romantic cities in the world, (We wouldn't even try to compare the Boulder Creek Path to the canals in Venezia) but still... something's in the air here. There’s a buzz in town, and in recent years Boulder has grown a little more sophisticated. There's more appreciation for the arts, for cuisine and for theatre than there used to be, and there's even been a slight decrease in super-casual attire in trade for a new appreciation for dressing up. A Savory Lesson in Giving

I always love a reason to go to Boulder's downtown, and it's also a special treat to take a visit to Savory Spice Shop. Another love of mine, as well as for most humans, is to hear about special things that people do for others. So, last week when I found myself purchasing Ceylon Cinnamon at the Boulder Savory Spice Shop, I got a three for one deal.

Boulder Winter Trails

I loved that Colorado Daily wrote this article about some of the best places to hike in the winter. So much so that I wanted to spread their message (I hope they don't mind)!

I'll add, that along with the famous Sanitas trail off of Mapleton (which we love as a family!), one of our favorite areas is around and in between the Eagle Trail and Boulder Rez areas (close to Haystack Mountain)... the Eagle/Sage/Lefthand Trails - more of that below the Colorado Daily article.

A Collage of New Year's Eve Events in Boulder (2009)

We at metrosen have looked high and low so we could compile a simple list of New Year's Eve events - based on other lists and seeming popularity (via tweets). Mostly, we stuck to just Boulder events, though I had to mention Nissi's - one of my favs just outside of Boulder. Please feel free to add to the list in the comments section or you may contact me at mark (at) metroseen.com or my twitter account @metroseen
